» currently 11.2 «

Whoops! I've officially gone off the rails for NaBloPoMo, but you know what, I'm 100% okay with that. I haven't gotten into the habit of posting on the weekends, but I have gotten to the swing of it with posting on the weekdays. But enough blogging about blogging. Let's get into the currently  topics because I have so much to talk about!

Excited About:

My Hobonichi Planner is coming!!! I ordered it on Friday, and it's currently leaving Japan now! I'm so excited to get this stupid planner! It's so ridiculous. And Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is literally 10 days away. 9 days until the migration! I'm a bundle of nerves and excitement, I can barely talk!

Worried About:

Christmas. I love Christmas, but I'm so worried about Christmas and the money that goes into gifts. I've got a couple of ideas of what to get a couple of people, but I've still got to try and come up with something for a whole list of people.

Reading:

I'm not really reading anything right now, but I do need to read something new. I'm always so picky about what I like to read. My Amazon suggestion list is all Paranormal Romance Young Adult, but I'm always welcoming recommendations!

Creating:

I'm doing some creating with crochet. I'm trying to do a crochet project for Christmas for some of my female Christmas gifts this year, and I'm experimenting with a possible scarf project for Christmas to but I haven't decided what I'm going to do.

Loving:

I've been watching so many videos about planners, I can't stop watching these videos. I'm also loving me some Crisp Pink Apples. I bought some today, and oh my gosh, I'm addicted to these apples. And hummus, I'm on such a hummus kick. I'm probably going to be back at Publix tomorrow for apples and hummus.

Hating:

The weather lately. I think I hate on the weather the most. Today it was 75 and raining, tomorrow it's supposed to be like 50 and sunny. Come on weather, get your act together.

Wondering:

Oh jeeze. My imagination must be out of sync because I haven't been wondering about anything lately. My imagination is broken. Oh my gosh. I need to fix this.

Craving:

Puppy Chow! I don't know if you're familiar with it, but my favorite Thanksgiving snack is puppy chow. And guess what, next Tuesday, you're getting my step by step instructions on how to make this yummy treat!

Listening To:

Right now I'm listening to RuPaul's What's the Tee? with Michelle Visage. I love this podcast. I need to get back into listening to Welcome to Night Vale.

Netflixing:

I haven't been watching netflix and hulu too much unless I'm catching up with a show the next day. I haven't been on a binge watch since Mob Wives and I really want that show to come back. But I have been watching Master Chef Junior. I'm always in such awe when I watch that show.

Playing:

I'm still playing GTA5, but I've been playing RoosterTeeth vs. Zombiens which is a super hard mobile game. I can't survive for longer than 8 waves. So ridiculous.

So what have y'all been up to currently. Let me know!

» friday five #2 «

Happy Friday y'all! It's finally the weekend. Rob and I don't really have any plans for the weekend, with the exception of going to my parent's for dinner on Sunday. So here are the top five things that have been on my mind today/lately.

Painting my nails is hella hard. Like for real real, no matter what I do, I can't seem to paint my nails without painting my cuticles or any other skin around my nails. Tips on how to paint nails would be appreciated.

I'm having a hard time pairing brown and black right now. Pretty much all of my clothes are black, gray, or really bright colors. I don't have any darker colors or jewel tones that pair with brown. And I know you can pair brown and black together, but the clothes I have just don't jive well together. I really want to go shopping soon. Jeeze.

This whole Polar Vortex thing really sucks. Because of the polar vortex is making South Carolina cold! I spent the entire day in bed under my flannel sheets all day and read some more Game of Thrones. That book is just taking me forever to read!

I've already started planning for Christmas. A lot of my gifts for this year are going to be hand made, and I can only hope that those who receive them appreciate homemade things. Homemade gifts make me so nervous.

Also, headaches suck. I got another headache today. Reading too much on my iPad, you know, going cross-eyed.

Well I hope everyone had a good Friday, I'm going to finish painting my nails now.

» fifty-two: week 46 «

Happy Thursday everyone! So I took the plunge today and bought that planner I talked about yesterday. I definitely do a unboxing once I get it! Let's get into today's fifty-two question.

Week 46: What should you make time for everyday?

Okay bear with me while I get a little metaphysical on y'all. I honestly believe that you should make time for quiet meditation twice a day. Just like you have to brush your teeth twice a day, I think you should spend maybe 10-15 minutes quieting your mind. To just sit and be still, and to let yourself drift away is an amazing feeling. I try to meditate twice a day, once in the morning as part of my morning routine. Normally I meditate after I'm awake like when I know I won't fall back asleep. Like after I've checked my emails and social media, I try to take fifteen minutes and listen to some ambient music and just drift before I get started. Normally after my morning meditation I also get in the shower and imagine that the water pouring out the shower head is a liquid shield that protects me from negativity, but that's a whole nother story. At night after you get ready for bed, I meditate again. 15 minutes/ambient music and its the best solution for drifting off to sleep. Just try it.

Do you have something that you make time for everyday?

» 2015 planner wishlist «

Planner: Hobonichi Techo Planner | Planner Cover: Techo Planner Cover Buffalo Plaid | Fountain Pen: Sailor Clear Candy Fountain Pen | Multi-Pen: Paper Mate Inkjoy Quatro Fashion | Sticky Notes: Ghost Sticky Notes and Lovely Index Sticky Notes | Photo Printer: Fujifilm Instax Share Smartphone Printer
Happy Wednesday! It's the middle of the work week, and we are halfway to Friday! Today I wanted to share with you another wishlist of mine! And one where I don't think I butchered getting the outlines of everything! Yay, go me. Quick Disclosure, I'm not being paid or anything for the links. This is just me sharing the love of things I want/already have.

Today I'm going to be talking about my 2015 planner wishlist. I've always been a planner time of girl. Every year I try to keep a journal of things to do and plan. For years I would use a Moleskine planner, but something about the layout didn't fit with me. I even tried to use a daily Moleskine and something about it just wasn't cutting it for me. This year, I haven't used a planner at all, and I feel naked with out one. Well, I do use a planner, but it's a desk planner for blogging. And I want something where I can combine daily journaling along with blog planning. So I think I found an amazing solution. The Hobonichi Techo.

The Hobonichi Techo Planner is a planner that in its original Japanese was first released in 2002. In 2013, the planner was translated into English. This little planner holds a lot. I've been lurking the Hobonichi Love Tumblr for a while now, and the time and artwork that goes into each individual Techo just makes me want to get one. I've been holding out for a few months on my online shopping trigger finger, but I may be able to order it and the Techo's Planner Cover this weekend. The Techo is pretty cool because you can buy all sorts of covers for it. It's a lot like a Filofax in that way. Since I'm obsessed with Buffalo Plaid, I really want that one, but the Faux Fur one is adorable. Maybe on the next order.

Next on the list are the Sailor Clear Candy Fountain Pen and the Papermate Inkjoy Quatro. I already have these two pens, and I ordered them from JetPens.com. I'm honestly glad that I didn't find this website sooner. I have a major pen and stationary addiction, and this website would just feed into it. When I did order from Jet Pens, I also ordered some of the replacement cartridges for the fountain pen. The nib on the fountain pen is a little thin for me, but I adore it. Not much scratch when using it. Although there have been times when I put it down there was some ink splash on the desk. Though I do kind of want to try another Sailor Clear Candy with a piston cartridge. That would be interesting.

And finally what kind of planner wouldn't have stuff in it. I love using sticky notes as highlighters or placement flags. These two sets happen to really stand out to me. The Ghost sticky notes are transparent to a point so you can still see what's also under the note. And the Lovely Index stickies are the cute solution for flags. Last but by no means least is the Fujifilm Instax share. I've been coveting this thing for a while now. I love instant photos and I wanted a camera, but this would be so much easier to have and use for my phone and on the go. Just snap a picture with my phone, print it out and paste it into my planner.

So folks, that's it. The Planner of my dreams and things I would use with it. Other than 'digital' blogging and blog planning, do you have a planner? Are you as addicted to Stationery and Office Supplies as me?

» wishlist: desk chairs «

I'm in the market for a new desk chair. I'm at my desk for most of the day. For example, yesterday, I was sitting at my desk from about 3pm until 1am. I've had my current chair for over 4 years now. It's time for a new one. At this point my current chair hydraulic lift is broken in it, so it sinks down every time you sit in it. Its just not comfortable anymore. So, I'm looking for a new one. Here are a few that I've been looking at.

This is Pottery Barn's Polar Bear Airgo Chair. This chair looks so comfy and luxurious. I love a good chair with an arm rest. It's also furry and I love faux fur. Even though this chair is from Pottery Barn's Teen line, I think this chair could go very easy with the current decor where the desk is at as well as future decor in a future home or apartment.

Here is Pottery Barn's Tufted Desk Chair. This is a bit of a more simple design, but the Navy color matches my desk exactly currently. I have a wood desk that I've stained a navy blue color. This particular combination of desk and chair I think would look amazing against a gray and white geometric wall I think. Unfortunately I don't have a geometric wall in our current set up, but a lime green wall.

Last but not least, here's a chair from Office Max, the Realspace Katarina. A white leather chair would be much easier to keep clean than the Furry Airgo chair, to be honest. The white and chrome really stands out to me.

So I've been internet shopping for desk chairs, and these are just a few that I've been looking at. Quick question, what kind of cushion do you have for your tushion when you're blogging or just spending some time at a desk?

Ps. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!

» countdown to thanksgiving «

Happy Monday y'all! Well, I know Monday's aren't really all that happy, but by the time you read this Monday will be over and we're all one day closer to the weekend!

So today's the 10th of November. That means that there are 16 days until My People's Thanksgiving Migration©. My People's Migration has been happening since the mid-seventies. From then until the year I was born, the Migration was hosted at the family's old farm property in Marion, South Carolina. There have been stories of cousins after passing out from drinking being left in corn fields. The guys of the family sleeping in campers and tents, and the lady's sleeping in the farm house. Just good food, good conversation and good people around a propane heater or bonfire.

In 1987, the year I was born, the family sold the farm, and moved the Thanksgiving Migration to Cherry Grove, South Carolina. Cherry Grove could be considered part of North Myrtle Beach, but its really close to the North Carolina border. The family rents a house every year, and we all converge on the house, and over the years it could be up to 40 people under one roof. Pretty much every year, I'm either sleeping on a couch or on a blow up mattress. And poor Robert, out of all the years he's been there he's been on a couch or a blow up mattress right there with me. I remember one year when I was a teenager, and we stayed at a house called the Tahiti. And that Thanksgiving was particulary cold. Like unnaturally cold for the year. And the Tahiti had no heat. We were bundled up in all sorts of blankets and sweaters. We had the ovens on and open. Plus there wasn't a good tv in that house, and I remember that my great aunt bought notepads and crayons and playing cards. That year in the Thanksgiving scrapbooks there was a wonderful little rhyme about our stay there:
"The Tahiti has no heatie for Ben's feetie."
Thanksgiving is broken into 3 major days. There's Wednesday when everyone first arrives and everyone gets a bit rowdy. We all converge that day around 3ish. Because everyone comes from different parts of the state or even out of state, we all show up at different times. There was a year where my family was at the house first, and waiting for everyone to arrive to get the holiday fest started. It was like I had ant's in my pants. I couldn't sit still and I remember getting sand spurs all up and down my pants running around the little beach yard. Once everyone is there, we all get out the snacks. Chips and dip, my dad's chicken bog, so much finger foods. My uncle also started the wonderful tradition of bringing oysters for an oyster roast. And all the older folks, ie, early twenties and up have drinks. Last year, I was unfortunately not there, but my uncle opened a bottle of Fireball Whiskey and threw away the cap. My family finished off that bottle in one night passing it around and drinking it from the bottle. Time goes by, and people go to bed for the night.

Thanksgiving Wednesdays have always been my favorite day. That's why I'm doing ADIML on Wednesday. I'll have another post about the two other days in my gigantic family reunion for Thanksgiving in the next couple of weeks before I go, and I'm pretty much going to be live blogging the thing.

Really quick question: What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions? Do you go out with friends, or stay in with family? Let me know!

» movie date «

Happy Saturday everyone. I hope your's was relaxing. Today I didn't really do much but watch movies. Today Robert and I had a double feature at our local movie theater. We went to go see Big Hero Six and Interstellar. So, a few things about the movies that we went to see.

Big Hero Six is Disney's and Marvel's first joint film. While the movie is more in vein with Pixar's animation and it's definitely a kid's movie, you can also see Marvel's unique movie style. Yes, there is a Stan Lee Cameo, and there is an after credits movie scene. And just like most Disney movies there are throw backs to past movies, like in one of the characters's, Fred, in his room there is an action figure of Elastic Girl from the Incredibles. Big Hero Six wouldn't be a Disney movie without making me cry, and Hiro and Baymax's journey from the beginning to the end of the film is really what stole the show. The beginning of the movie shines because it puts a spotlight on the characters before they become the heroes, showing them to be the science nerds that they are. These characters shine not when they are in their costumes, but when they are themselves. And for any fellow Red vs. Blue fans, Wasabi No Ginger is definitely what I think Tucker looks like under his ODST armor. All in all this is a great movie and will be added to Robert and I's movie collection.

Now on to Interstellar. Basic plot of the movie, Earth is dying. Cooper, played by Matthew McConaughey, is a farmer who along with with his daughter Murph, stumble along NASA's secret base. Cooper then chooses to go into space to try and locate planets for humans to relocate to. OMG this movie. Of course Christopher Nolan has as many twists and turns in this movie as he had for Inception, but this movie. This movie puts you on an emotional roller coaster ride, where some of the surprises leave you feeling like you just got punched in the gut. Once the movie was out I had to go hug my dad. But I think my favorite movie about the whole movie was Cooper's daughter Murph. I have a really soft spot for the name Murphy and I smiled each time someone said her name. Interstellar is also going to be a movie that we buy for our collection, because I would love to watch it over and over.

Anyways, Is there a movie that you are looking forward to watching this month? Let me know!

» friday five«

Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone has made it through their work week in one piece and can now sit back and relax for the weekend. If not though, Don't worry, you will presevere. For today's post, I have a quick little five bullet point list for today.

»Headaches are the worst. Every once in a while I get headaches like you wouldn't believe. Sometimes I can't get out of bed, some just start as a dull ache that graduly gets worse through out the day. Today I had the latter of the two. Normally with those kinds of headaches I'm sensitve to light, so I tried to keep lights off and screens dimmed. I did take medicene to try and dull the pain, but I can still feel the headache now.

» Crochet is going really well for me. Since picking up crochet, I've made 3 little coasters and I'm working on a like a hand towel now. basic projects that will help me get the stiches down. The hand towel isn't quite done, I need to do one more row of single crochet stiches and then finish the outside. I can't wait until I can try and make the boot cuffs.

» I adore hot chocolate, but I hate getting my tongue burnt. Oh my gosh, my tongue is numb and it feels like skin is peeling off the roof of my mouth. Next time I have to wait to drink it. Or not boil the water. Or try to drink it so quickly.

» Binge Watching a tv show is tiring. Ever since last Saturday, I've been watching the VH1 show Mob Wives non-stop. All of the drama on that show is addicting, but I'm not sure what I'm going to watch when I catch up. I'm currently watching the fourth season. I wish Netflix still had Battlestar Galatica on instant watch. That's honestly one of the best shows to binge watch. For an example of what your life is when binge watching Battlestar, see the One More Episode Portlandia Skit.

»Please remember to drink your 8 cups of water a day! And in general take care of yourself. If you are on medication, take it. Take your vitamins, eat a couple of pieces of fruit. Take a cat nap if you need. Take the time to make sure you are feeling your best. And do something to pamper yourself. Paint your nails, do your make up. Today's Friday. Do what's best for you.

With out any fear of sounding like a broken record, I hope everyone's had a great Friday! Tomorrow I'm doing a double movie feature going to see Interstellar and Big Hero Six, and then to my parent's for a bonfire. See y'all tomorrow.

» fifty-two : week 45 «

Happy Thursday! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by! To think that we only have seven more weeks until the New Year is just unbelievable! It is definately that time of year too. Poor Rob came home early because he was feverish. He's been cooped up in bed all day. Also, quick little update. I finished two crochet coasters (still no pictures) and I'm going to make 2 more and then move on to a little bit more complaicated things.

Week 45: If you woke up tomorrow having gained a quality, what would you choose?

Oh, this is such a good question! There are so many qualities I wish I could gain overnight. I'll try to narrow it down into three categories, physical, mental, and social.

Let's go ahead and get the obvious answer out of the way. If I could gain a new physical quality overnight, I would have to choose a whiter teeth. I was going to go with fast matabolism, but then I'd have to be active, haha. I would definately change my teeth. Ever since I had braces, my teeth have been naturally yellow. It hasn't ever really bothered me before, but its really getting to me lately. Robert doesn't think my teeth are all that bad, but I definately see that there could be room for improvement in that area.

For a mental quality that I would love to gain overnight, I would love to know another language. However, this is something that would be like a shared mental ability between Robert and I. Having a shared secret language between the two of us would be a God send although I'm not sure the conversations we would have in this secret language would be all that kosher.

Another quality I would like to gain overnight would be a social one. Making friends has never been that easy for me, but to be able to make friends super easy overnight would be a blessing. Or just being social in general. To be able to speak my mind with easy, or to be able to convey a message with any room for a misunderstanding would be amazing. With my friendships in the past miscommunication has always been an issue. I hope that the quality of being able to make friends easier with quality people is something that could be downloaded into my brain.

And isnt't that a thought? What if there were "programs" out there that you could "download" into your mind to try and make yourself a better person overnight. Qualities that could be purchased that taught your brain how to do something overnight while you slept. Oh man, I'm getting into some Science Fiction shit now. Let me quit while I'm ahead.

So my darlings, if you could gain a new quality overnight, what would it be and why? Let me know!

» on a whim «

When it comes to doing things that are creative in nature, I tend to do them in bursts and very sporadically. Take today for example. I was browsing Etsy for some boot cuffs since I hadn't had much luck finding good tall boot socks that fit my calves. I curse the fact that I have wide calves. And it hit me, why not make boot cuffs? I have prevously tried my hand at knitting, but I wasn't quite successfull with it, so I wanted to try the other major yarn hobby, crochet. Going into this, I'm not sure if I'll be any good at it, but Mom is lending me a spool of yarn for practice. I went to JoAnn's to get a crochet hook and a beginner's book, put on Mob Wives, and I've been practicing ever since. So far I've got the chain stitch and the single crochet stitch down pact. I'm trying to make a little coaster since I guess that's the easiest thing to start with. I'll take some pictures as I progress I'm sure, but no pictures today...

But where I was going with this, is that in order for me to try something, I normally have to do it on a whim. I don't go out of my comfort zone that often. For example, when we went to North Carolina. The resturant we went to had plenty of options on the menu that were probably delishious, but I chose to eat the chicken tenders. I normally eat chicken tenders every where. The only time I've gotten adventurous with my food while on a trip would probably have been the DC trip last year when I ordered lobster that was still in the shell. Robert thought I was crazy to order it, but I still proudly say that I never made a mess of it. But anyways back on topic.

I never really go out of the ordinary that much, and I think that is what is holding me back sometimes. I don't venture out of my comfort zone to go places or to meet people. I stay safe in my own little bubble. And breaking out of a shell is hard. Most of the time I have to feel really adventurous or I have to be dared into doing it. I can never really do it on my own unless its to prove I can do shots. That's a whole other story. What I'm trying to say that today, I'm glad I went out on a limb and followed my whim. I mean, my fingers are a little achy from doing something that's not typing on a keyboard, but I feel accomplished.

So question of the day, What is something that you've done on a whim in the past? Or, with in reason, if you had to dare me to do something, what would it be?

» Tuesday Ramblings «

Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope your day is going well. Today I don't have much to say, but I just had a bowl of excellent pasta and I'm about to snuggle into some brand new flannel sheets. Yeah, you know those sheets I mentioned yesterday, I bought them. A cute set of buffalo check set from Target. Target has my back for holiday decorations. I'm thinking about getting a new tree-skirt for the Christmas tree from there this year. We have this blue velvet with glitter one that is cute, but I want something a little different for this year.

Quick question, is there anything that annoys you about late fall/early winter? The most annoying thing to me is that the humidity is gone and the air is very dry. My skin is always dry and itchy durning the fall and winter. And the dried out lips! My lips are bad enough as it is. And I never have the right kind of lotion. :/

Anyway I don't have much more to say, but thanks for putting up with my Rambling today. Maybe I'll have a quality post tomorrow.

» obsessed with buffalo check «

I'm currently obsessed with Buffalo Check/Plaid. I honestly don't know what it is about the pattern, but something about it just makes me think about cozy fall/winter days lounging with a good book.  In fact, I just got distracted about looking for a good set of flannel sheets. I think I found the ones I'm going to get for this year. Shout out to my place Target. But the main point of this is that when my obsession started it was with a shirt. The obsession has evolved into my toiletry bag and pair of rainboots that I want. I wanted a phone background to match. I looked everywhere in the apps I normally use for backgrounds, and there wasn't a Buffalo Check background to be found. I tried just using pictures found on Google, but nothing I was completely happy with.

So I made one. My first foray into making backgrounds turned out out alright with the one you can see in my day in my life post. I wanted to try my hand at the buffalo plaid. And I'm pretty happy with it. On the ones I made for myself, I included my monogram on it, but I also made a plain one to share with everyone. I made versions of it for iPad Mini and iPhone, but I'm sure if anyone wants it, I can create other resolutions of it.

iPad Mini | 1024x768

iPhone 6 | 1334x750

If you are going to use these for your winter phone background needs, just click on the image to bring it up in it's full size and right click save! Also if you do use, please leave a comment to let me know, it would make me incredibly happy!

»Currently 11.1«

Happy Novemeber everyone! I honestly can't believe that we are one-third of my favorite part of the year! November seems to also fly by for me because I always look forward to the end of the month for my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving for me isn't so much of the historical value of the holiday, but more for my family's perspective on the day. I'm going to stop myself before I go into a tangent here about this, and I'll post about it more sometime later this month. Here's what been up with me currently.
Excited about: Now that Robert and I's North Carolina trip is done and overwith, I'm now focused on 4 main things right now. The first thing that I'm excited about is really silly. I'm excited about an oyster knife. I know, you can roll your eyes now. I touched on my family's "tradition" about oyster knives and I'm going to get an engraved one with my monogram. It's really silly, but it puts a smile on my face. After the oyster knife, I'm excited about the planner I'm going to be getting for next year, the Hobonichi Techo. I have to order it from Japan, but I'm so excited about a planner. Then after the planner, I'm excited about the upcoming holidays, My People's Thanksgiving Migration, and then Christmas/Yule. While in Asheville, Robert and I bought our 2014 orniment for this year. I also need to start planning gifts.

Worried about: This is more of a past worry, or a worry from early this morning, but I just about had a panic attack about leaving the cabin this morning. Robert and I have about 5% expeience with driving in snow. We were also in an area where one turn to fast could send you down the cliff face. I couldn't go to bed, and I ended up crying about it early this morning around 2 am about it when we were still in the cabin. But luckly Robert got us off the mountain safe and sound. I'm also worried about gifts for this year. I hope I haven't left them off too late.

Reading: While we were stuck at the cabin and the wifi was acting up, I decided to delve back into Game of Thrones. I got through a few chapters, but it's hard for me to read something I've already watched. Thanks HBO for ruining that.

Creating: Since the doodle explosion from last two weeks, my creative juices aren't really flowing. My imagination has really hit a slump with some of the worries that I've had. But I think that this weekend trip has rejuvenated my creativity process.

Loving: The new Triangle Char and Bar that opened up in Summerville. Triangle is a local chain that had locations in West Ashley and Mount Pleasant. There wasn't one that was close by. So when I heard that a location was opened in Summerville, I was estatic! I love when they have $1 mimosas durring brunch, or a peach sangria with dinner. It's for sure one of my favorite place to eat.

Hating: I was a bit bummed out on Saturday that we had been snowed in for the day and we really didnt get the chance to go out anywhere while we were on our trip, but I was also fun to really not do anything.

Wondering: The only thing I'm wondering about right now is when am I going to finish this post because I'm super tired.

Craving: Since the snow, I've been craving some homemade baked potato soup. Maybe I'll make it from scratch the first couple of days where it's under 60°.

Listening to: It's Novemeber, so you know what that means? Christmas music. I love listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra as well as the Charlie Brown Christmas Special Soundtrack. These are on repeat now.

Netflixing: I'm not watching it on Netflix, but I am watching on Hulu the whole Mob Wives series. I love a good trashy reality show.

Playing: I've taken a bit of a break from gaming in general, but I do have a few games I'd liked to play like Destiny or Sunset Overdrive. But I need an XBox One for that.
Well I hope everyone had a happy weekend, and let me know, What are you up to currently?

»LET IT SNOW«

This cabin trip is all sorts of unexpected. When Robert and I arrived yesterday, we didn't think that it would be a really big deal that the weather reports were calling for snow and a possible foot of the junk. We thought that if it did snow, it would be like the little bit of flurries that we get near the coast. Today's lesson of the day: expect the unexpected! This is what we woke up to this morning.

It has to be at least a foot of snow out there. I've never seen anything in my life like this. We're stuck in the cabin for today. There is no way that I feel brave enough to try and transverse mountain roads in this kind of condition. I'm so glad we stopped by the store to pick up some food for today. Its not really snowing anymore to be honest, but the wind is just shifting it all around.
Robert and I stepped out on to the balcony for a tiny bit, and we freezed our asses off! We both grabbed a handful of snow to say we threw snowballs, but our fingers went numb really quickly. We snapped a few photos to take back home with us but I really wish we could bring a snowball back. Too bad we didn't bring a cooler.
The cabin that we are staying at is really incredible. I've never seen anything like it, but I know that it definately has a floor plan that I really like. Rob and I have been talking about future homes and I would really like a home like this, with the kitchen, dining room and living room upstairs, and bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor. The wrap around porches on both floors are to die for. The 360 views are really great. I just can't belive that we are here for the first snow of the winter, and I know that I won't see anything like this in a long time living near the coast. But I will have to say, the coast is home.

I have a question though, what's your favorite thing to do in the winter time? Sleding, snowmen building, or sittng inside with a good book and a mug of mug of hot cocco? Let me know!
